“ First time here! Stopped by for some Haitian food on their Independence Day. Kreyol Delight wasn't open for their normal hours so I went with what I thought was the next best option. I wanted the oxtail but they didn't have it so I opted for the griot and rice. It was overall a solid meal but I feel like the griot was fried a little hard and was kind of missing that crispy outside but soft in that the dish is known for. The rice was very good. I was a little sad that the dish wasn't served with plantains for the price. All in all, I'd definitely return in a pinch. The staff was nice and the place was clean. I wish the menu had a few more options available but what I got was decent. I'd call ahead if you're deciding to go. ”

One of the very best food experiences in FL. Perfect Haitian food. Amazing. The Beef with Legumes (Veggies) is perfection, esp because of the eggplant. But everything they make is damn good. I didn't even realize that I was in love with Haitian food until I came to Tampa. I thought I was only in love with Barbie. I thought I was going to have to get down to Miami (sort of like I get down to Kool & The Gang) to try the really amazing Caribbean and Latin food... but I found some great versions of them up here in Tampa, and this was at the very top of my list. This remains the best Haitian food I've ever had, even now that I've tried the best ones in Miami (half a dozen of them, in fact), and several in other parts of the country. We're talking about some of the most miraculous food you'll ever eat. It's not dirt cheap but it's not expensive and portions are huge. You'll be addicted as soon as you try those legumes, rife with eggplant, which are the number one dish for me. But absolutely everything they make is off the charts beautiful. It would be my first destination for food when I come back to Tampa, and not just for the perfect food but for the beautiful murals on the wall and for the wonderful service as well. He was so curious and tickled about how I found his place, but I'm so glad that I did. This is yet another example of how wonderful Yelp can be when it's done right and used right. Haitian food is "of the Gods" (as the Greeks would say) (in Greek) (OK fine I made it up) and probably my favourite from the Caribbean, and this is the ultimate Haitian food place. I have the Oxtail and my wife has fried chicken. Their chicken is fried to very crispy. The chicken tasty. It can come with island spice stew. I am the fan of oxtail. It cook with island spice in slow braise. The meat is separated from the bone. I like the island marinated sauce. It must has a lot ingredient in it. This dishes has a choice of side. It come with plantain and I also choose the mushroom rice. It has dark long grain rice. I like this rice very much. If you come to Caribbean, the time is not matter. As a result, you need to wait for your food to be ready. As I said before. The Caribbean attitude slow and easy. ”
